I understand that non-self means it’s not mine, it’s not my ego.
If you say that this body is mine, then I would say that it doesn’t age anymore.
But it ages on its own, it dies on its own.
If it were really mine, I would say “don’t die, don’t get sick anymore,”
but since it’s not mine, I can’t tell it to do that.
I can’t control it; this belongs to others.
It’s part of the law of impermanence, I can’t control it.
It’s not mine, so it’s not my impermanence anymore.
Because it doesn’t belong to me, it’s considered non-self.
I can’t control this behavior.
Now if you say that this body of mine is impermanent, then
I would say, it doesn’t age, doesn’t die anymore, but it still ages and dies.
So it doesn’t follow my will, which means it’s non-self.
