Amazon is now allowing customers to fully customize and design their own t-shirts through Merch on Demand listings. You can upload images, change text styles, colors and more – all with a few clicks.

At first, this might seem like it could hurt Merch sellers by letting customers make their own designs. But after taking an in-depth look, I don’t think that’s the case at all.
The vast majority of buyers still want pre-made, quality designs rather than creating their own from scratch. This customizer is more for that smaller subset of customers looking for a truly one-of-a-kind shirt.
I’ll walk you through the entire customization process, showing you exactly how it works on Amazon’s end. You’ll see the live mockup updates as I tweak a design in real-time.
To really test it out, I’ll be ordering a custom shirt I mocked up using AI-generated graphics. I’ll follow up with a review on the final print quality once it arrives.
