The Q4 selling season is absolutely bonkers with print on demand sales!
But unlike other ecommerce verticals, there are 2 main holidays that we focus on with POD – particularly when starting out…
This post focuses on Shopify + Facebook Ads as that’s where the really big income spikes happen (we cover both the Shopify + ads strategy AND Etsy in my PODhacks Accelerator, but Shopify is where the big bucks are made).
The first big holiday is Halloween and it is a fantastic holiday to focus on with tons of different products available to make the most of it.
Halloween is the first biggest holiday of the season and that’s when the Q4 craziness takes off. Some great products to sell are Sweaters/Hoodies (so long as you can sell multiple), and decor.
The second holiday is Black Friday / Cyber Monday (BFCM), which happens the same weekend as American Thanksgiving.
A lot of people do big discounts on BFCM, but myBUT, my focus every single year is to make the most of BFCM is 100% focused on getting products selling with Christmas in mind. I do nothing with discounting, emailing or anything else – BFCM for me , it is 100% product creation for Christmas.
Whilst there is madness around BFCM from everyone else in ecom, our aim is to be finding our winners so we can scale them into the Christmas season.
And this brings me back to my core message. F.O.C.U.S.
Keep it simple by, preparinge yourself for Q4 by focusing on ChristXmas…
Now, when it comes to Etsy, running quick sales for BFCM can be beneficial. But a word of warning…
Make sure your discounts are not eating into your profits. Set your prices to make sure you’re covered.
